D-2: Christmas

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't updated for a long while now. I just couldn't think of anything to post about. Fortunately, I was able to find some pictures I took at school the day AFTER I took the pictures in my "Do you smell something? I smell Christmas" post. So yeah. It gave me an idea. This one is just gonna be short, but first, check out the pictures I took. I just love how our school give effort in appreciating Christmas.

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. May we have the heart to continue to love, care, and share, not only to our loved ones but also those who are more unfortunate than us.

The first thing that comes out in the minds of people when they hear the word "Christmas" is presents. Christmas isn't just that. Some people just tend to forget what the real essence of Christmas is.

Christmas is the day when Christ is born. It is the day when we were given a Savior. A Savior that had saved us from sin by sacrificing Himself. We need to be reminded that without the birth of Jesus Christ, we wouldn't be living in this world right now.

Rurouni Kenshin "Samurai X" Live Action Movie

As we all know and for those who don't, Rurouni Kenshin Live Film Adaptation was premiered in the Philippines on the 5th until the 7th of December. Upon the announcement, we, Filipino fans, were so excited to watch it! Watching the trailers made us look more forward to the movie!

Cinematography wise, I'm pretty sure that this could get anyone want to watch the movie in the theatres.

Moving on! My friends and I watched the movie on the first day, December 5. I'm going to give my review about the movie starting here. I'll go in this sequence -- Adaptation, Music, Fighting Scenes, and Cast.

Good Time

First of all, I'm sorry because this is not another one of my written or "typed" stories. But this is something that I really want to show. I actually didn't mention it in this blog but I actually like making videos. I may not have the equipment and skills; however, whenever I get the chance to make one, I'd give my everything in that video. I put all the effort I could give. Although I'm pretty sure that the output wouldn't be as good as others, I'm still learning, so all is well. :))

Okay, this is the latest video that I shot and edited. It's my friend's school group project. Her name is Trina by the way. She asked me, Sheena, and Chinky for help. Sheena helped out in the pre-production stage. Chinky was supposed to help in the production or the shooting stage but her schedule didn't permit her, so her camera represented her presence. Haha! Hey, Chinx!

I know, I know. The outcome isn't so good. I can't really say that this is an excuse but we changed the concept at the very last minute --- during the shooting day itself. So yeah, I thought of just taking a few clips of my friend, Trina, and her group mates, and a few clips at an event we were going later that time. While editing the video, I then realized that it was not a good idea to insert the event clips. So yeah, I had to manage the clips, although it was really hard because I only took a few clips at the first venue. -shrugs- I even almost pulled an all-nighter for this. I'm glad I was able to have a two to four hours of sleep. 

As a side note, I'm glad that they like the video. That's all I wanted to know anyway.

Miss You

I just made this out of boredom and inspiration. Well, originally this is for a friend, but I was able to have fun in making this. This is the second latest short story I wrote because I just wrote my latest on November 19 this year. I'm not sure if this is worth posting but I'm posting it anyway. 

I hope you'll be able to have time in reading this. 

Oh yeah, did I mention that this is a fanfiction? Okay, now you know. If you want, you can just imagine as if the name of the guy is the name of your boyfriend or crush or... yeah. :)

It was raining hard outside. You were sitting in front of your study table using your laptop. You were surfing the net and chatting with a friend. You sighed. You weren’t really the type to actually feel depressed over nothing. But hey, the weather suited you just fine. You might as well add the fact that you were alone in the house tonight. For some weird reason, when you got home from a jog, all of your family members were nowhere to be found. They left you a note that they would be back tomorrow afternoon. It was definitely not helping your situation.
                          
“I can already feel the distance.” You typed as a reply to your friend.

You dropped your head on your desk, forehead first.

In all honesty, you weren’t really feeling depressed because of no particular reason. Heck, you just didn’t want to admit it, but you actually had not seen your boyfriend for almost two weeks and it was bothering you. It might seem like a short amount of time but for you, it felt like months. And the both of you barely kept in touch because of your busy schedules. He was busy with his career while you with your studies.

You turned your head to the laptop’s direction to see what your friend replied to you. You immediately sat up and stared at your laptop’s screen as if it grew a head. ‘WHAT?!’

You stared at the innocent text, hopefully thinking that it would change into something else. But it seemed like no such miracle would happen. You jumped out of your seat and hopped on your bed, rolling on the latter.

First Photo Edit: Park Chanyeol

Hi, everyone! Here is another post; however, it's not a short story, drabble nor write up. I'm showing you my first photo edit using Adobe Photoshop! But before I do that I'd like to say something first.

Belated Happy Birthday to the most awesome and most handsome creeper I know! Park Chanyeol! Saengil Chukahae!

He just turned 21, international age, on November 27 this year. I was supposed to post this on his birthday but I didn't have the time to edit the picture. I'm sorry. ^^

So here is my first photo edit.

Just a little trivia, he is a member of a newly-debuted Korean boyband called EXO.

And so... the photo might not turn out the way I wanted it to be but I'm satisfied with the result. :) I was actually having a problem which font style to use. Anyway, because of this output, I actually wanted to learn more about photo editing. I have yet to find time for this week though.

So what do you guys think about my edit? Might I remind you that I'm still a beginner at this, so yeah.

Just bought chocolate

Hello, guys! Here's a post of another short story of mine. Can I even call it one? Well, anyway. This is just really short. I made this on November 19 this year.

Just a little trivia for this monster. This was made because Meg and I thought of making short stories within 15 minutes for old times sake since we used to do this kind of thing. The prompt was "Chocolate", thus the title of this baby --- Just bought chocolate. I finished this in 20 minutes and edited it in 10 minutes because Meg kept asking for extension. So yeah, she finished her short story in 30 minutes.

Note: I changed the names of the characters from the original. And the picture used isn't really the chocolate that is being used.

“Why am I doing this again?” Trevor asked as he scratched the back of his head, looking at the girl walking beside him.

“I have no idea. Go ask yourself.” Adrienne answered the lad nonchalantly, as she kept up her pace, walking ahead. “I already told you that I’ll be fine by myself. Why won’t people believe me?” She added as she turned around, giving him her bored stare.

Trevor glared at Adrienne. “Oh shut up.” He said as he put his hands inside his pockets.

They were hanging out with their friends in the mall. While the rest decided to take a time to rest for a bit, Adrienne decided to go somewhere. Trevor could care less where the girl was going; unfortunately, their friends weren’t giving him a slack. They forced him to go with her, telling him that the two of them could finally get some alone time.

Okay, Trevor liked Adrienne. So what? That didn’t mean they had to be all lovey dovey, right? Because, come on, think about it. Adrienne, a girl who could drive anyone away with her glare, paired up with him, a genius delinquent. Well, he only looked like a delinquent. Anyway, “Adrienne + Trevor” will never be equal to lovey dovey nor sweet.

Trivia # 1: Vanity

For some reason I feel like posting something about me. I hope you won't mind me posting this. ^^

I'm not really vain. I don't really take pictures of myself often. But when I do, the picture turns out to be blurry.

 Yeah. I don't think it's my thing. Or probably I just need practice. -shrugs- Oh well.

 Hello, everyone! I'm back with a post today. :)

This post isn't my written masterpiece or whatever. It's something that I actually thought of when I walked down the stairs of my school and happened to look out of the window. My eyes widened in admiration when I saw the trees outside being lit up with colorful circle lights.

I'm sorry about the quality of the photos. I just took them using my phone. But I really have to show you how awesome it looked. Not like it's really beautiful in the picture but I guess you can imagine it, right?

Well, anyway, when my friends and I finally turned for the last set of stairs to reach the main lobby. If my eyes widened in awe when I saw the lights on the trees outside, the thing on the main lobby blown my mind.

Bookstore

This was made on May 5, 2012. This was a dare or a request that a friend asked me to work on. When I made this, it actually had a time limit. I think it was 15 or 20 minutes. Well, anyway, this was fun to make. I hope you will all like it.

Rai put down the book she was reading on her lap, as if slapping the air in front of her, pouting. Why was she pouting? Well, she was waiting for oh so good friend, Tatsumaru, who she was supposed to meet up today. She was in a bookstore inside a mall, sitting on the floor and reading the damn book she just aggressively slammed on her lap. It had already been a good ol’ thirty minutes since the planned time, and hell there was DEFINITELY NO TATSUMARU IN SIGHT. She sighed. She stood up and started walking down the stairs, placing her hands inside the front pockets of her jacket. Midway down the stairs there was another path where a pastry-coffee shop stand and other books were displayed. Rai took that path, smelling the scent of coffee and pastry as she went inside.

“I’ll take this.” Rai’s eyes popped wide open when she heard a familiar voice. She turned around, and found the guy she was waiting for minutes ago in front of the pasty-coffee shop counter.

Tatsumaru happily took the bag of cookies he just bought. He took a cookie out of the paper bag, and turned to Rai’s location. “Oh. Hi, Rai!” He waved at her like a little kid, and took a bite of his cookie.

‘What do you mean “Hi, Rai!”, you bastard?’ She stomped to the counter and stopped right in front of the taller teen, glaring at him.

The lad blinked once with the cookie on his mouth, then twice. He took another cookie from the paper bag with his free hand and handed it to her. “Want some?” He smiled, not even thinking that he actually made the lass wait for him.

Rai just stood there, glaring at him. A few seconds passed, she clenched her teeth, and did what she didn’t expect to do. Well, not really. She took the cookie in front of her and took a bite on it. She turned around.

“You’re late.” She said with her back facing Tatsumaru, skipping.

Balak entitled "Duka"

First of all for those who don't know what "Balak" is. It is a poem using the Cebuano language. This is my very first Balak. It was a homework for my Cebuano Journalism Class. I had fun making this. This was submitted on August 27 or 26, 2012.

By the way, I also put the English Translation of the poem. The translation is neither literal nor poetical though.

Okay, after years of thinking for an available URL aside from my name, I have finally made a blog! Hurray!

Starting today, I'll be posting some experiences and some of the written stuff I have made so far. I hope you guys will have fun following this blog, although as of the moment it is currently empty. I'll try my best to post everyday.
